💡 “Put yourself, and your work, out there every day, and you’ll start meeting some amazing people.” ~ Bobby Solomon
If you have ever asked yourself the following questions…
“How do I start creating content on social media?
“How do I share what I know?
“How do I become an entrepreneur?'“
…then you must read Austin Kleon’s book Show Your Work.
Here is one amazing framework from the book, based on your phase of learning, inspiration or creating, and how to have endless ideas on what to share, immediately, without even having to think about. This way, you can simply get started, so that you can eventually get good, and finally get smart (see Ali Abdaal video here on that specific framework).
So here it, based on your stage of learning, inspiration or creation:
Early: share your influences and what’s inspiring you
Middle: share your work in progress, methods that are working for you
Completed: show your final product, what you learned, how you did it
Simply use twitter for great one liners, substack or your own website for articles and longer form content, and then youtube or a podcast for teaching or inspiration content once your completed projects are consolidated and organized.
Why is this so beneficial?
Because your daily post’s can eventually become organized works of art and perhaps amazing sources of income. Kleon calls it your Flow and Stock, which can look like this:
flow → stock: tweets → blog posts → book
In conclusion, Kleon summarizes it best with this quote:
💡 In my experience, your stock is best made by collecting, organizing, and expanding upon your flow.
So get going, start posting and before you know it, you will have an online empire.
